Program Length: 2 years

Location: On campus/Remote (International students need to complete at least 50% of coursework on campus)

Admissions Req: 
• Completion of the following courses or equivalents: 60% in Pre-Calculus 30*

at least 60% in Math 30-1, AND,
at least 50% in English Language Arts 30-1, or
at least 60% in English Language Arts 30-2, AND,
at least 60% in Chemistry 30
All applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency prior to admission, including students educated in Canada.

SAIT accepts high school course equivalents for admission. If you don’t meet the requirements, consider Academic Upgrading.

SAIT evaluates international documents for admissions. After you’ve applied, consider their international document assessment service if your education is from outside of Canada. SAIT may also accept courses completed at certain international post-secondary institutions.

However, technologies can also help aid environmental conservation efforts, and if you want to be part of this kind of greater movement, then consider the SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) Environmental Technology Program. This environment program is all about learning applicable skills and also learning about a lot of possible applications for them! As part of this program you’ll of course get an introduction to some foundational staples like Environmental Organic Chemistry and Biology and Field Ecology. But you will also be exposed to a number of more job specific specialty courses like Environmental Audits and Management Systems, Site Reclamation, Environmental Sampling and Analysis, Sustainable Urban Design, and Solid Waste Management. Considering this environmental program is only 2 years long, it’s jam-packed with awareness and skills building in lots of Environmental fundamentals. It’s the perfect opportunity for you to dip your toes into environmental technology and see what the field has to offer! Regarding tuition fees, if you live in Canada, you will be charged with the domestic fee, and anywhere else will be charged with the international fee. Feeling a little financially pinched?
