Highlight: Have you always wondered how airplanes work? Do you dream of someday working in the aviation industry? Then Seneca College’s aviation programs could be perfect for you! The aviation programs offered include operations, technology, and safety. In the aviation operations program (diploma), students spend 2 years learning about the exciting tasks that happen on the ground during a flight. The safety program (advanced diploma) runs over a course of 3 years in which students learn about essential safety techniques and leadership skills. The technology program (bachelor’s degree) allows students to spend 4 years learning how to successfully operate an aircraft and gain work experience. Along with learning all about aircrafts, students in these aviation programs are given the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience if they choose to complete a co-op work term. International and Canadian students may apply for both the safety and operations programs (around $5000/year for domestic students and $18,000/year for international students), but only Canadian students are eligible for the technology program (around $21,000/year). Seneca College also provides millions of dollars of financial aid and awards around 2600 awards and scholarships per year. Many graduated students of these aviation programs go on to become pilots, dispatchers, flying instructors, ground operators, and more!
