This education program is a ten week summer program that offers you research opportunities in marine biology with help from a mentor (meaning a professional marine biologist). You will also be participating in a 5 day ocean research cruise on a Tall Ship, which offers an amazing number and variety of experiences…because you would be doing research on a totally swanked out tall ship! At the end of it all, you will put together and present a fifteen minute oral presentation to demonstrate the fruits of your labor. If you’re worried about the cost, PEP will cover all travel, housing, and food expenses. At the end of this education program, you will receive 4 hours of college credit and $5,000 stipend, but more importantly, invaluable research and sea experience and that can help further your future endeavors. Even if you aren’t a college student quite get, this summer program could come in handy in your marine-focused future, so keep it in mind. Take it from the Navii in Avatar :The way of water , the sea is as close as we get to another world!!
