Highlight: Are you a current university student or graduate who’s looking to create a positive impact on the world through volunteering? Then the UN International Volunteer program could be perfect for you! This international volunteer program allows people from around the world to choose where and the category they want to volunteer in thanks to their user-friendly database. So why should you choose to volunteer with the UN? Volunteers have the chance to be stationed at one of the 160 available countries for each of their missions, allowing them to learn about various cultures and languages. In addition, you’ll be able to make a lasting impact through this international volunteer program and make a difference in the world. In order to volunteer for the UN International Volunteer program, you’ll need to be at least 18 years old, display the values and principles that align with the United Nations, and be prepared to possibly work in remote areas. The rest of the requirements vary based on each volunteer assignment, but common ones include being able to speak a specific language, or already being a citizen of the country where the volunteer assignment is taking place (but the UN also helps with getting to your assigned country if relocation is necessary). The assignments for this international volunteer program generally run from 3-12 months with the chance to extend to up to 4 years. Though volunteers aren’t granted compensation for their work, they may be provided allowances to help support living costs during their assignment. Are you ready to make a positive difference in the world? If you are, head over to the Unified Volunteer Platform, and register your profile today!

Cost: Free, allowances may be given to support living costs
