Program Length: The internship lasts from September to May.

Admissions Requirements: Applicants should be U.S. citizens or legal residents who are currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs. Specific requirements include a resume, a personal statement.

Application Deadline: Students apply between February 1 and February 29 

Highlight:
Are you an undergraduate or graduate student wanting to gain experience in areas related to the federal government? If so, the virtual student federal service internship allows students to use their talents and help federal agencies in areas where more attention is required. Students will have the opportunity to be matched to a variety of federal agencies that are sponsored by this federal service internship, making each internship program unique. Some of these long-term sponsors include the Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Executive Boards, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and the U.S Department of Agriculture Forest Service.  This federal service internship is unpaid, but it can be eligible for course credit depending on the university that the student is attending. Students are allowed to apply to no more than five internship programs. If interested, please  make sure to submit an application between February 1st and February 29 on the link on this website. Applications will be reviewed and interns will be notified of their selection in May.
