Admissions Requirements:

• This climate change and sustainability campaign is open to all high school students (gr. 9-12) from anywhere in the world, with access to internet
• Record small actions in your everyday life that reflect your regular (or newly considered) sustainable choices to recognize (or create new) long term sustainability behaviours
• And receive a certificate and anywhere from 2-20 volunteer hours for your efforts!

Application Deadline: There is no application deadline for this climate change and sustainability initiative which is open year round for whenever you are available to start. Certificates for volunteer hours based on verification of the recorded activities over 10, 20, or 30 days are given upon review after completion of your personal campaign .

For 10,20,or 30 days, commit to reducing waste in your daily life. From composting to recycling, every small step counts. Make a choice for climate change and sustainability through the small daily decisions you make in your world.

Once you have completed your 10, 20, or 30 day campaign (you choose!), besides gaining a pretty significant personal perspective shift from your chosen number of days of considered actions, your efforts will be recognized and rewarded with volunteer hours for the time you’ve spent in your actions (2 hours for  a 10 day campaign, 6 hours for a 20 hour campaign, and 15 hours for a 30 day campaign, plus bonus hours!)….And truth be told we bet you’ll see  that doing or recording one action won’t  add up to thaaaat much time because doing sustainable stuff is soooooo simple and only takes seconds or minutes… Things as simple as finishing  all of the food you make, using all food scraps, minimizing packaging waste, carpooling, walking,  or taking public trans, finding ways to re-use and repurpose pretty much anything you can, minimizing resource consumption, sharing, the list of tiny things you can (and probably already) do, is endless! And small aside to make you especially aware that food waste and composting in particular are sufficiently recognized and rewarded:  If you choose to be involved for 30 days and compost for at least 15 of them, you get an additional 5 bonus volunteer hours !
