• This climate change and sustainability campaign is open to all highschool students (gr. 9-12) from anywhere in the world, with access to internet

Application Deadline: This climate change and sustainability fundraising campaign for scholarship prize awards closes for the current year’s game awards at the end of February,  but students can start and complete their 30 day campaign year round!

Join our RENEW is the NEW NEW sustainability pledge-a-thon!

For 30 days, commit to reducing waste in your daily life. From composting to recycling, every small step counts. Make a choice for climate change and sustainability through the small daily decisions you make in your world. Let your friends and family know about your 30 day pledge; ask for their sponsorship support (from as little as $1!) and invite them to view your personal campaign spreadsheet to check out your recorded daily actions!

Once you have completed your 30 day campaign, besides gaining a pretty significant personal perspective shift from your 30 days of considered actions, your efforts will be recognized and rewarded with volunteer hours for the time you’ve spent in your actions….which might not add up to thaaaat much because doing sustainable stuff is soooooo simple and only takes seconds or minutes… so to make sure your efforts around food waste and compoasting in particular are sufficiently recognized, compost for at least 15 days and get 8 additional volunteer hours!

Participating is super simple; there’s only three things to do: Sign up (copy the recording sheet template to make your personal recording sheet), fill in your start date, tell people in your life thatr you are doing this and ask them to Sponsor you (any donation from up to a dollar will do and you can for sure start by sponsoring yourself!)  All sponsorship money will go to funding the student awards in our  Dollar for Your Thoughts ($4YT)  game/event,

So you not only build some great habits to inform your creating a better world for yourself and everyone else as you move forward in it,  but you also build your bank of volunteer hours, and our bank of student funding prizes that will be awarded to students like you (and possibly actually you!) at our game $4YT.
