TRADES SKILLS SUMMER CAMP

SKILLS ONTARIO SUMMER CAMP

Program Length: 1 week day camps throughout July and August. Monday through Friday 9:00-4:00 PM

Location: Participating Colleges and programs across Ontario

Admissions Req:  Must be entering gr. 7, 8, or 9. Ontario residency NOT required.  Some openings still available in some locations! 

Highlight:  Interested in learning about trades or technology and in getting some hands on experience but not quite in high school yet? Check out these industry-led workshops that explore careers in skilled trades through interactive games, industry tours and entrepreneurship programs? One-week skills camps sponsored by  Magna, Hydro One,  and the Ontario College of Trades held on campuses throughout Ontario that will introduce students in grades 7,8, and 9 to a variety of topics in the industrial, construction, motive power, services and technology sectors even before starting high school!  Camps are facilitated in partnership with colleges, industries and community volunteers who are committed to giving the campers an outstanding hands-on experience! The camp also offers programming aligned with Indigenous perspectives and initiatives, involving elders and encouraging participation from First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. There is also a virtual option, so Ontario residency is not required! Get a real feel for some of the career options out there and start to build a network ,as well as, teamwork and communication skills at the same time!  Definitely not your average summer camp!

Financial:  $225 week unless specially noted.
