Highlight: Are you a high school student passionate about quantum science? The University of Waterloo invites Grade 11 & 12 students across Canada to join the Quantum School for Young Students (QSYS) for a virtual week to learn all about the quantum world in mid-August! An optional in-person day at the lab is available for those in the Waterloo region. This quantum engineering program provides a unique opportunity to explore the world of quantum computing, quantum mechanics, and information science through lectures, discussions, and interactive workshops led by Waterloo’s top faculty and quantum researchers, and it’s completely free! Open to students who have completed Grade 11 math and are fluent in English, participants of this quantum engineering program will engage with cutting-edge research, connect with like-minded students, engage with Waterloo’s top faculty, and build a strong foundation in a field that is shaping the future of technology.
