Highlight: Looking for a fulfilling, nature-based summer experience? Want to learn field understanding of watersheds and ecology while earning valuable work experience? The P-Crew (Plumas Conservation, Restoration, and Education in Watersheds) is a five-week project- and work-focused program that allows students to participate in critical restoration initiatives. Students can anticipate hands-on tasks such as invasive plant removal, fuel reduction, trail maintenance, and forest service. Aside from serious field work, the program takes students on weekend crew trips for trekking, hiking, climbing, stand-up paddle boarding, swimming, and other activities. And if all of those incredible experiences aren’t enough, work experience clearly comes with a pay bonus, with students earning approximately $2,100 by the conclusion of the program based on hours completed! The P-Crew pdfcontains all of the necessary information, as well as the application.
