Highlight: Are you a student aged 13-24 who is interested in designing solutions for real world problems? Are you also an avid team player who enjoys working alongside others to create and design solutions to meet a Hackathon challenge? Well then, PeddieHacks is the hackathon challenge for you! PeddieHacks is a high school hackathon challenge hosted by Peddie high school’s computer science club. During the 48 hour hackathon challenge, there will be many workshops intending to teach you programming basics and more. The two tracks and themes will be announced at the hackathon challenge opening ceremony, giving you 2 days to work with your team to create a solution to one of them, for a chance to win one of a $39,090 selection of prizes. With 1 hour workshops and 2-4 hour gaming sessions offered inside of this 48 hour challenge, PeddieHacks gives teams the best possible chance to up their skills and knowledge while competing against other students worldwide! The judges for this hackathon challenge include a software engineer at Microsoft, an electrical engineer at Apple, and the CEO of PayGarden. As Charles Darwin once said “it is not the strongest species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the most responsive to change”.
