Highlight: Are you a high school sophomore or junior female identifying student residing in Massachusetts with a passion for underwater creatures ? The Ocean STEAM Powered Women (O-STEAM) Fellowship, hosted by WHOI Sea Grant, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and the Sea Education Association, offers a unique opportunity to dive into ocean science!

Offered mid August, join this empowering program held in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, where you’ll build and test underwater microphones, analyze dolphin and whale vocalizations, and share your findings with your community. This fellowship is designed specifically for female-identifying students and aims to support those historically underrepresented in ocean sciences. After the fellowship, you will get the chance to complete a survey, a field report, a thank you note to the founders, present your findings to your school and/or community, and share photos or media related content!
