Highlight:
The New York Times is hosting an exciting writing contest called the Tiny Memoir Contest for Students. Open to students aged 13 to 19, this writing contest invites young writers to participate and share their personal narratives. The challenging part, however, is the word limit of 100 words.

This challenge lies in selecting the perfect words and phrases to convey a complete story, making each entry a carefully crafted piece of art. Writers should strive to create a story that elicits emotions, resonates with readers, and captures the essence of their personal experiences. This writing contest is the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your creativity and storytelling abilities!

Now if you’re thinking “this is impossible,” check out last year’s winning pieces and get some inspiration. Additionally, you can check out the step-by-step guide for this writing contest here. Now, let your voice be heard and apply!
