LOS ANGELES TEEN TRIBUNE

LOS ANGELES TEEN TRIBUNE

Program Length: Ongoing/However long you might like when you meet the age restrictions

Location: Virtual

Admissions Req: all 12 – 19 year olds interested in journalism

Highlight: Many young people are lost on their journey to becoming published writers and journalists. They know where they want to go, but they just don’t know where to start. Whether you are an aspiring author, are passionate about a topic, or are just a person who enjoys putting pen to paper, consider submitting your writing to the Los Angeles Teen Tribune to become a published teen. Granting you the freedom to decide the topic, the Tribune asks writers aged 12-19 to submit pieces of any length under 1000 words to submissions.lateentribune@gmail.com. Published teens have written about everything under the sun: from the Paralympics to the Metabolism Reset Diet! The only rule is to steer clear of anything suggesting harm or inciting violence…probably a good rule to keep in mind and abide by outside of this contest, as well. While your writing will not be financially compensated, the future and career benefits of  building strong English writing skills AND of being a published teen outweigh any prize! Any questions? Just send them an email at info.lateentribune@gmail.com. Otherwise, find a topic you’re passionate about and get writing! You’re bound to become a published teen!
