Highlight: Are you an aspiring or already established programmer looking for your next challenge? Join Hack-the-North, a prestigious yet accessible Canadian hackathon! Located in the University of Waterloo, Canada’s premier university for engineering and technology, this 36-hour hackathon provides opportunities to both learn new skills and win amazing prizes.  Competitors can attend workshops to broaden their computer science skills as well as win various prizes like cloud credits (to pay for data cloud services) and cash. In addition, food and accommodation is covered for all accepted participants! As long as you are a student over 13 and a citizen of one of the many eligible countries, you are able to apply. The application deadline is July, and you must be in a team of four to compete. Note that international competitors must get their own visas. Cost: None. Flights and other transportation will be reimbursed to an amount and accomodation and food will be covered.  If from a nearby Ontario location, free buses are provided.  Free shuttles are provided at airports to the site.
