Highlight: Are you an incoming college freshman who plans to major in a STEM related field and would love to have the opportunity to receive instruction from Google? (Yes, for real) Then Google’s Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) summer camp is perfect for you! This CS summer camp invites students from around the world to attend a 4 week introduction to computer science. Although there isn’t explicit information on how many people are accepted, this CS summer camp seems to accept a few hundred students every year. Successful applicants will be given the chance to not only learn coding, but to also participate in workshops, seminars, and more. The curriculum that the students learn from features project based learning and community building activities with peers, Google engineers, and industry professionals. This CS summer camp runs from 9am to 1pm in your local time zone and is completely virtual. In addition, the CSSI summer camp strives to make the entire program cost free for students by providing a stipend to help cover all costs (computers, internet, etc). So, are you feeling lucky? If so, make sure to check back on the CSSI website for when applications open, and get ready to make the connections of a lifetime!
Cost: Free (meaning absolutely 0 cost to you –includes a stipend to cover all costs that may arise)
