Admissions Requirements:
- Students must be 14-18 years old on the day of the competition
- Must be currently enrolled in high school
- Teams must have 3 to 8 members, all from the same country
- Teams from countries other than Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Mongolia must join the Preliminary Round
- Pay a ¥10,000 JPY (≈ $69 USD) registration fee by March 21, 2025 (Japan Time)
- Teams must have reliable internet and email access for the online competition
- If meeting in person, a supervising adult must be present (but cannot help)
- All team members must agree to let GYEC publish their submissions and photos.

The Global Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (GYEC) is an exciting international entrepreneurship challenge designed for students aged 14 to 18 who are eager to turn bold ideas into real-world impact. To participate in this entrepreneurship challenge, students from Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Mongolia have direct access to the global finals, while all other countries must compete in the preliminary round held in April to qualify for the entrepreneurship challenge. On competition day, each team has just 12 hours to develop an innovative business idea that addresses a global issue and submit a 2-page proposal along with a 3-minute video pitch in English. The submissions are carefully judged based on creativity and innovation, finance and production, marketing, and communication skills. The winning team of this entrepreneurship challenge receives a trophy and a certificate of achievement, while all teams earn a certificate of participation and a detailed feedback sheet.
