This museum internship gives successful applicants the opportunity to work with professionals at the CMC museum and learn from their experiences. So how can you be a part of this intriguing museum internship? Well, interns must be either currently enrolled as an undergraduate student, currently enrolled as a graduate student, or have graduated within the past year. Interns are expected to commit at least 10 weeks to this museum internship and can choose from 3 terms: summer (June through August), fall (September through November), and spring (January through March). In addition to working with professionals in the field, interns of the CMC museum internship program are given free admission to all permanent CMC exhibits and access to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, invitations to exclusive events, a CMC individual membership, and more! This museum internship has 3 types of positions including guest-facing, administrative, and research & collections. Guest-facing interns, like the name suggests, are tasked with interacting with guests who visit the museum, administrative interns deal with general office work, and research & collections interns get to work in specific departments conducting research!
