Highlight: Looking for an architecture internship that offers real-world experience? The Boston Society for Architecture’s Summer Design Internship is a paid, six-week architecture internship designed for Boston Public School high school students, offering hands-on learning at top firms across the city. From Monday to Thursday, participants in the architecture internship are placed directly into professional firms where they contribute to real design projects, learn industry-standard tools, and participate in team meetings. On Fridays, students explore Boston’s architectural landmarks through guided tours and design-focused activities, gaining insight into how architecture shapes cities and lives. Whether you’re interested in sustainable buildings, interior design, or urban planning, this architecture internship helps you build technical skills, unlock creative thinking, and develop a professional mindset. Interns also begin crafting design portfolios—a key stepping stone for future applications and careers in design. You’ll leave this experience with practical knowledge, stronger communication skills, and a network of mentors in Boston’s design community. If you’re a high school student passionate about the built environment, this architecture internship could be the perfect first step.
