Highlight: If you’re a high school senior, university student, or recent graduate passionate about wildlife conservation and animal rehabilitation, the Wildlife Conservation Program by the Alberta Conservation Authority offers a hands-on opportunity to make a real impact. Located in Didsbury, Alberta (with some roles available online) this student opportunity lets you step into roles like Junior Wildlife Rehabilitation Assistant, rescue driver, hotline assistant, or public awareness volunteer—each contributing directly to the rescue and recovery of injured and orphaned wildlife. You’ll gain practical experience in animal care, wildlife response, and public education, while learning how to handle real-life situations involving injured animals. If you are under 18, you can join Group Vlounteer Day where you should participate with a parent/guardian. There will be approximately 20 people per group, and you will be in activities that will not be in direct contact with any animals. Whether you’re a future biologist, a pet owner, or simply someone who cares deeply about conservation, this program helps you build skills, compassion, and community impact. Applications are due January 8th, and the program cost is just 60 Canadian dollars. If you’re ready to shape the future of wildlife protection, this is your chance to get involved.
