Program Length: This program for women in STEM runs from September-June 

Location: Virtual mentorship opportunity for women in STEM

Admissions Req: Women in STEM ages 13-17 currently enrolled in high school anywhere in the world can apply! 

Highlight: Finding empowered women mentors within the STEM field can oftentimes be difficult, but the New York Academy’s free year-long mentorship program, 1000 Girls 1000 Futures, is working to change that! Through this STEM mentorship program, you will be paired with women in STEM, specifically scientists AND engineers, to guide you towards a successful future in STEM. This program is also highly flexible as it is fully online and you can connect with your mentors at any time! Participants will be provided with individualized coursework as women in STEM designed to prepare them for college and strengthen their leadership skills. As women in STEM, this program is available to complete at your own pace. Through activities like online events and Book Club, strong, valuable connections can be made with women in STEM around the world! Even better, mentees and mentors alike receive a free year of membership to the New York Academy of Sciences, where you can gain even more knowledge about STEM fields as women in STEM. No matter where you are in the world, 1000 Girls, 1000 Futures supports passionate women in STEM in their pursuit of knowledge!
