Highlight: Ever dreamed of receiving an Oscar? Ever imagined yourself up on that stage with those elite artists? Then the Student Academy Awards is just right for you! Held by the Oscars (yes, the real one), the Student Academy Awards is an international student film competition. You can enter your film for the international student film competition in one of 4 different categories: documentary, narrative and alternative/experimental. To be eligible to enter in this international student film competition, you must be enrolled full time or part time in a degree-granting program at a school in the US accredited by the respective state agency. If you are an international student, then your school must be accredited by the responsible governing body in their country and the programs must offer associates, bachelors or graduate degrees, or certification for animation training programs. In addition, the program must be either a non-profit educational organization or a government sponsored educational institution. Moreover, the film you submit for the international student film competition must be your final graduation project. If it is not, then it should be selected through the school waiver process or gain eligibility through the film festival qualifying process. The film should also not be longer than 40 minutes including opening and closing credits. You can submit your entries for the international student film competition from mid-March to early June.
