This challenge is launched as a part of America 250 celebration. It empowers the youthful and creative minds to deploy AI-powered solutions in the real world. Participants of elementary (K-5), middle (6-8) and high (9-12) school need to be in a team of 1-4 with an supervising educator. The youth teams can apply either through Track-1 (Proposal track) where they just need create an in-depth proposal for how AI technologies could be applied to address a community problem or challenge or Track-2 (Technical/Implementation track) where they need to build a solution with AI technologies that can help address a community challenge. As for the educators (eligible and 18 years above) they need to be in a team of 1-3 with one of them being a lead team member. They have a educator track where they can either teach an AI concept to their students in a new, unique way or create a tool based on AI technologies to manage some aspect of their classrooms. It aims to prepare the youth for the next centuries of AI innovation. Participants should be U.S citizens but they need not be an expert in the field of AI. There is no fee requirement to enter as well. The challenge takes place in 3 tiers. All eligible submissions will be honored with a Presidential Certificate of Participation. It is supported by 135+ Tech giants including Google, IBM, Microsoft and Open AI. There is a chance for the selected projects to be showcased at national conferences and a rare opportunity to be seen by leaders and innovators.
