Highlight: The Genes and Health Contest, hosted by miRcore, takes place nnually in January. This free biology contest is designed to engage high school students in exploring biology through exciting challenges focused on genes and neurodegenerative diseases. Participants will delve into biology and computational biology, gaining hands-on experience with genetic and environmental networks that influence diseases. The biology contest includes multiple sessions, such as conceptual tests, computational problem-solving, and short presentations, providing a comprehensive biology educational experience. Winners will receive cash prizes, and the event will conclude with a talent show and award ceremony.
