Eligibility:
Applicants must demonstrate merit through academic achievements, leadership and campus/community activities
Applicants must be pursuing a science, technology, engineering or math degree
Applicants must have an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for merit-based scholarships. Applicants may have a minimum 2.5 GPA for non-merit-based donor scholarships.
Applicants must be of Hispanic descent and/or must demonstrate significant leadership or service within the underserved community for some of the scholarships

Are you a dedicated student pursuing a science, technology, engineering, or math degree? Great Minds in STEM (GMiS) is offering scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 to support your educational journey. To qualify for this STEM scholarship, you must meet the following criteria demonstrating merit through academic achievements, leadership, and campus/community activities. You must be pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM), overall minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for merit-based scholarships, a minimum 2.5 GPA for non-merit-based donor scholarships, and more which can be found on their website. The application for this STEM scholarship includes a personal statement on a topic determined by Great Minds in STEM, your resume showcasing your achievements and activities, two letters of recommendation, your official transcript, and a self-photo for publication purposes. There are three more scholarships offered by GMiS that are specific to students in California, each with its own eligibility which can be found here. Some scholarships allow for you to get listed in the GMiS Scholars press release and provide transportation support to the annual GMiS Conference, where Scholars are presented with their STEM scholarship by the sponsor. This conference is a great chance for you to network with different people in vast careers of the STEM field, attend workshops, and more.
