This cybersecurity scholarship provides financial aid for up to 3 years of support for cybersecurity undergraduate and graduate (MS or PhD) education in participating institutions. This cybersecurity scholarship includes tuition and education related fees and a professional allowance for job fair or other types of professional development. Students are encouraged to pursue their education in a variety fields such as Computer Science or Engineering, Security of Emerging Technologies (e.g., internet of things, medical implants), Cyber Law and Privacy, and Policy. These fields typically include well-established cybersecurity programs where students engage with hands on experience, participate in cyber competitions and even get a chance to earn industry certifications and present at conferences, pushing them to pursue opportunities for professional development. In return, you would need to agree to work after graduation for the U.S. Government in related cyber security fields for a period congruent to the length of the cybersecurity scholarship. In addition the students are required to complete a summer internship to hone their skills and gain professional experience.
