Eligibility: High school and undergraduate students from any country are eligible, with potential allowances for youth who are not in school. Entrants must be 25 years old or under by the submission deadline.

Highlight: Are you a filmmaker passionate about creating stories that can illuminate feminism and women’s rights issues? If so,  ConnectHER film festival is the perfect opportunity for you! This womens’ film festival challenges high school and undergraduate students from any country to create a 3-6 minute original short film addressing a critical issue that impacts females globally. The coolest part about this women’s film festival is that filmmakers can win scholarships in any of the following categories: girls’ education, environmental issues, ideas with potential global impact, girls in STEM, solutions to a problem faced by women and girls, beauty/body image, men who support women’s rights, ending violence against women, and female heroes. Some other categories available for scholarships at this womens’ film festival include judges’ choice, people’s choice, GEMS’ (ConnectHER donors’) choice, and best film production categories. Note that entries are judged by how well they align with ConnectHER categories, clarity and impact of the message, creativity in presentation, cinematography/editing, and screenplay/script. This womens’ film festival awards winners a cash prize anywhere between 1,000 to 5,000 dollars(USD).
