The coolest part about this women’s film festival is that filmmakers can win scholarships in any of the following categories: girls’ education, environmental issues, ideas with potential global impact, girls in STEM, solutions to a problem faced by women and girls, beauty/body image, men who support women’s rights, ending violence against women, and female heroes. Some other categories available for scholarships at this womens’ film festival include judges’ choice, people’s choice, GEMS’ (ConnectHER donors’) choice, and best film production categories. Note that entries are judged by how well they align with ConnectHER categories, clarity and impact of the message, creativity in presentation, cinematography/editing, and screenplay/script.
