Eligibility: This climate change scholarship is open to anyone within the age brackets 14-17 and 18-25. Compete in teams of two (recommended) or on your own.
Application Deadline: First qualifications for this climate change scholarship are open from January until 1st of August.
Highlight: A proverb once asserted “If you’re not a part of the solution, you are a part of the problem,” and in our modern world, climate change is among the greatest of problems which plagues the rich, the poor, the European, the Asian, and everyone else on the spectrum. If you wish to be a part of the solution for climate change, look no further than the Climate Science Olympiad. The Climate change scholarship offers teens and young adults the chance to compete in three phases of competition by coming up with solutions for practical climate change problems. During the first stage of the climate change scholarship, 10,000 competitors will get the chance to offer their ideas. They’re given the topics 10 days in advance but will be given the actual prompt on the day of the competition. They are then given 3 hours to write an essay response to the prompt in this climate change scholarship and it will be scored based on the rubric provided. 500 of the competitors will move on to the semi-finals of the climate change scholarship, 50 finalists might have the chance to attend the ‘Green zone’ of the UN Climate Summit (COP-26) in Glasgow U.K. to compete in the finals. While aiding the climate crisis, students can win up to 5,000. If you are unsure of your chances at winning the climate change scholarship, consider looking over sample questions.
