Eligibility: Both US and international students high school students from grade 9 to 12 are eligible for this writing contest (with sponsorship from a teacher).

Application Deadline: Submissions for this writing contest are accepted annually from early September through November 1st.

Highlight: Are you a literature addict? Do you enjoy reading and writing? Bennington College sponsors a unique writing contest you might want to know about! Express your creativity and showcase your writing talent through submitting your own original work in one of three categories. The three categories are poetry, nonfiction—personal or academic essay, fictional short story— but a fiction short story entry can also be a one act play! Poetry submissions should contain a group of 3 poems, and short story submissions should contain 1,500 words or fewer. Oh ONE MORE THING… This writing contest offers CASH awards — 9 in total!
