In this story writing competition, participants must submit a 8000-word fantasy short story (any sub-genre is accepted). Focus your submission on a fantasy adventure with heroic characters that you want to root for! The 1st place winner of this story writing competition is published as the featured story on the Baen Books main website, paid at industry-standard rates for professional story submittals, an engraved award, and a prize package containing $500 of free Baen Books. The 2nd place winner of this story writing competition wins a prize package containing $500 of free Baen Books. While the 3rd place winner gets a prize package containing $300 of free Baen Books.
