Type: Women in Mathematics Essay Contest

Eligibility: Grades 6-12 and Undergraduates. The contest is open to all students in these grade categories. The only gender restriction is that the person interviewed must be a woman.

Grades 6 – 8
Grades 9 – 12
Undergraduate

Application Deadline: February 1st (annual contest). Prizes are monetary cash awards directly to recipients (though the amounts of awards may vary since we could not find any amount referenced specifically).

After interviewing any mathematics role model, write a 500-1000 word essay detailing your interview and what you found out about careers in the mathematical sciences! One winner will be selected from each grade category and if you are one of these, you could be in for a chance to not only win a cash prize that can be used for anything, but also the knowledge of all the opportunities that you could access on your pursuit into either the mathematics industry or even the STEM industry.
