Highlight: Interested in genetics? This biology scholarship will exploit your knowledge on such an interesting topic- DNA! To celebrate National DNA Day, The American Society of Human Genetics is holding a competition, a biology scholarship. In this biology scholarship, you will be asked to write a 750-word scientific essay with cited sources. The prompt for the biology scholarship is: “discuss whether inclusion of more diverse populations in genetic and genomic studies holds a potential to benefit future genetic research and improve human health.” Even though this biology scholarship asks for cited sources, don’t think of this as a research project! After entering this biology scholarship, you’ll harness a good understanding of the biology field and it could very well be your next discussion for a family dinner conversation!
