Commitment to the length of the onsite volunteer position and must be dedicated and reliable.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must commit to work hours according to the needs of the wildlife patients.
Must have or be willing to get rabies vaccinations and a titre prior to volunteer starting.

Attention undergrad students or anyone eighteen and above! The Heavens Wildlife Rescue allows people to get the opportunity to volunteer as well as gain hands-on experience in many different aspects while obtaining new knowledge on species of animals.
The Heaven’s Wildlife Rescue program is based in Oil Springs, Ontario and volunteers will have the opportunity to commute to Oil Springs or there is housing available for those who need it. This wildlife rescue program requires volunteers to commit to at least one month of volunteering, but they can also choose to continue to be a part of this program for up to six months. Through intensive hands on ten hour workdays (for about 5-6 days per a week), volunteers in this wildlife rescue program will be able to gain various skills while assisting with daily tasks like species examinations, diet preparations, feeding orphaned babies, and much more. They will also perform grounds maintenance tasks such as cutting grass, cleaning, weed wiping, painting, doing dishes and handling laundry. During this time, volunteers will also be able to gain some useful wildlife knowledge and handling skills that they can carry with them into the future.
