Location: The New York Times is headquatered in New York but the contest is available to anyone with internet access anywhere who meets the admissions requirements 🙂

Admissions Requirement: 

You must be between the ages of 13 to 19 in middle school or high school or taking a year off before post secondary.

You can be from anywhere in the world

Your submission must be 100 words or less, not including title

Your submission must be an original, true story about your life, and contain no curse words

You will be asked to submit an artist’s statement along with your submission
