Highlight: Are you a high school student who is looking for an internship opportunity or service hours? Do you enjoy reading, researching, and learning? Well then, the Library of Congress High School Internship Program will be the perfect place for you to excel. This research internship is free of charge and provides up to 60 service hours. To be eligible for this research internship, you must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or visa holder who is in grades 9-12. The research internship will be held for four weeks from June through July. For the in-person option, you must be able to come to the location, based in Washington DC, once a week, while the virtual option has virtual training and workshops. In this research internship, your programs will include researching and recommending LOC collection items, advising and testing program models, and contributing to the youth learning space. To apply for this research internship, you must send your resume, a writing sample, and a written statement of interest by late April.
