Highlight: Lightning McQueen, the king of all cars and any of its kind! And the one to hail him as the king in many of our hearts is creative storytelling! The Global Lift Equipment Short Story Contest invites students to write a short story with an inanimate object as the protagonist. To be eligible for this short story contest, participants must be US or Canadian residents, have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and must be currently or plan to enroll in a US or Canadian post-secondary institution in the fall following the contest deadline. For this short story contest, participants can choose their main characters from the Used Equipment Catalogue. Get creative! A heated romance between a heater and compressor or a cold series of murders by a scissor or lift! The choice is yours! The winner of this short story contest will receive $500 in prize money.
