Highlight: Are you a high school junior, senior, or recent grad who’s interested in pursuing STEM and art (aka STEAM)? Then Bold.org’s Dare to Dream STEM scholarship is for you! This STEM essay scholarship awards $1,015 to one lucky student to put towards their college tuition. The purpose of this STEM essay scholarship is to encourage future leaders in STEM and the arts to pursue their dreams and aim high. They hope that more STEM students begin to use their creative side to solve problems and create greater innovations. In order to be eligible for this exciting STEM essay scholarship, you must be a junior or senior in high school or a recent grad in years one or two of a gap year. Also, applicants for this STEM essay scholarship must be interested in pursuing a degree in STEM with an art minor… or vice versa! You don’t need to worry about your grades or test scores for this STEM essay scholarship as winners are selected based on essays alone. Applicants choose one of three essay topics to write 500-1000 words about along with submitting a response to their main question. The three choice topic questions for this STEM essay scholarship are: What do art and STEM mean to you and why?, how can art and STEM make the world a better place together?, and provide your favourite example of the perfect match between STEM and art that exists today and why you believe it to be so. These questions along with the main one, tell us a little about who you are and why you wish to pursue a college education, allow you to express yourself and why you’d be a good contender for this STEM essay scholarship.
