Program Length: Summer for 8 weeks (including the week in Washington DC)
Location: Almost everywhere in the US
.Admissions Req: Applicants for this paid internship must be a junior or senior in good standing in high school with a letter of recommendation, be able to participate in an 8-week paid internship at a local nonprofit organization & legally be able work 35 hours a week in the US. The application is open from the beginning of November to the end of January annually.
Highlight: 15% of young people across the United States of America are categorized as youth who aren’t in school and don’t have a job. Career opportunities are difficult to hold for most youth since they are stuck between balancing that job, schooling, and personal life. For Juniors and Seniors, you’re in luck, as this paid internship program is for you! Bank of America Student Leaders allows students to build a love for their community and learn business leadership skills! This paid internship runs for 8 weeks over the summer with one of those weeks being in Washington, DC. Within the paid internship, you get to work with many different nonprofit organizations, like Boys and Girls Clubs of America or The Summer Learning Collaborative to fully digest how important they are to the community. Student Leaders also meet with Members of Congress and participate in workshops in service learning, poverty simulation, and others in this paid internship, to see what it means to be part of an engaged society. All you need to do to qualify for the Bank of America Student Leaders paid internship program is have a recommendation letter from someone within your school, be a junior or senior student in good standing, and legally able to work in the US without sponsorship.
