Highlight: Were you, as a child, constantly drawing on walls or maybe you have always had an inclination for writing? Or perhaps you’ve always had a fascination with film or photography? Maybe you like to sing songs, or perform on stage, be it in dance or theatre? Then, perhaps you’d be interested in the one-of-a-kind YoungArts’ National Arts Competition. You can apply to compete in any of the following arts competition categories: classical music, dance, design arts, film, jazz, photography, theatre, visual arts, voice or writing. To apply to this arts competition you must be from the US and between the ages of 15-18. If you are successful in this arts competition, you could be up for a chance to earn up to $10,000 (unrestricted cash prizes– meaning they can be used for anything to support your artistic journey!) as well as the opportunity to take part in a workshop week (virtual for 2021) alongside other artistic finalists with world-renowned artists in their specific discipline that could help you make new connections on your path to college or to wherever you are headed. However, even if you don’t win the arts competition, you can still gain valuable feedback from the judges to help you improve your artistic abilities (So, this arts competition is a win-win!). But most interestingly, as a winner of the YoungArts’ National Arts Competition, you will be considered for nomination as a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts. What are you waiting for? Take this chance and apply to the YoungArts’ National Arts Competition!
