Eligibility: Student teams of 6th to 12th grade affiliated with U.S. public, private, and charter schools, along with one educator.

Application Deadline: Typically November, as results are declared by January.

Highlight: Have you ever dreamed of launching your own science project into space? With the NASA TechRise Student Challenge, you can turn that dream into reality! This nationwide student competition invites 6th to 12th graders from U.S schools and territories to form a team, collaborate with an educator, and submit an experiment proposal for real-world testing. Up to 60 winning teams receive $1,500 in funding, technical hardware and expert guidance to build their project before launching it on a commercial NASA flight! Teams can explore a wide variety of hands-on topics, such as testing radiation shielding, analyzing microgravity fluid dynamics, tracking greenhouse gases and climate data, testing space biology, or developing lunar dust mitigation systems.  Check out past winning projects and get ready to register your team!
