Highlight: Summer is a time that provides you with the time to explore incredible opportunities as a high school student exploring your passions. The School of the Art institute of Chicago’s Early college Program gives you exactly that for aspiring high school student artists. The SAIC Early College Program is a summer art program crafted for highs school students that are interested in art, design and creative fields. Students who have completed their sophomore, junior or senior year can apply to give themselves the touch of experience with college-level art courses. This intensive summer art program runs for six weeks in the summer with applications due in the spring. Students can choose from a variety of courses such as, painting, sculpting, photography, animation, fashion design and more, with options to take these courses online or on-campus. You’ll be able to develop your artistic skills in different mediums while building a college-level professional portfolio and refining your creative voice alongside experienced faculty and fellow students with the same passion as you. Students can also earn college credit upon completion and need-based financial aid is available to make this summer art program more accessible. For high school students serious about art and design, SAIC’s Early College Program is a one of a kind way to spend your summer!

SAIC Merit Scholarship recognizes students whose artwork and dedication set them apart. Recipients may receive up to $1,200 in merit-based funding.
SAIC Financial Aid Scholarship supports talented artists with financial need. Students awarded this scholarship generally report a household income of less than $60,000.
