Highlight:  The Journey to Leadership Summer Program, hosted by the Bella Abzug Leadership Institute, is a two week youth leadership program held at Hunter College in New York City. Open to students ages 13 to 21 from the NYC metropolitan area, this youth leadership program combines workshops, seminars, debate labs, and guest speakers to build skills in leadership, public speaking, and community advocacy. Each summer includes three different cohorts in early July, late July, and early August, with sessions running from 9:30am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. Designed to empower young people, particularly youth from underserved schools and neighborhoods, the youth leadership program emphasizes real world issues and inspires participants to become active community leaders.
